Around the 1980s, John Little photographed this row of houses along Rue Knox, facing the railroad tracks in Pointe St. Charles. Using a makeshift panorama technique, he pieced the images together to capture the length of the street.

Decades later, in 2007, he returned to the subject in paint, transforming his archival photos into the canvas shown here. The row of houses still stands today — you can walk the same block or view it on Google Maps.
